Be the Medicine is a modern mystery school offering immersive gatherings and practitioner trainings that bridge Indigenous wisdom, spiritual practice, and contemporary approaches to plant medicine, entheogens, and psychedelic-assisted healing. Rooted in prayer, ceremony, and collective remembering, their programs support practitioners who approach healing with humility, reverence, and a commitment to right relationship.

Founded by Jeya Lorenz, co-founder of Beckley Retreats, Be the Medicine was created in response to the rapid medicalization and commercialization of the psychedelic field. Through immersive experiences and educational offerings, the organization brings together elders, healers, therapists, ceremonialists, and guides to honour Indigenous knowledge systems, Earth-based traditions, and the sacred dimensions of entheogenic work.

At the heart of Be the Medicine’s model is a commitment to reciprocity. Ten percent of profits are directed to Indigenous communities and organizations protecting ancestral plant wisdom, safeguarding ecosystems, and keeping ceremonial traditions alive for future generations.

5D Ventures was honoured to provide philanthropic support to help bring Be the Medicine’s vision to life and support the development of its programs and emerging nonprofit initiatives. Our contribution has helped create a platform for intergenerational learning, cultural preservation, and practitioner development, while creating pathways for Indigenous teachers and wisdom keepers to share their knowledge with integrity and care. Recognizing the importance of this work, we are committed to doubling our contribution by the end of 2026 to further support Be the Medicine’s programs, nonprofit initiatives, and Indigenous reciprocity efforts.
