Emily Johnson
Director of Operations

Emily Johnson is the Director of Operations at 5D Ventures, where she oversees the firm’s financial, operational, and administrative infrastructure supporting investment activities across Canada and Costa Rica. She provides cross-functional leadership across finance, compliance, human resources, communications, investee and investor relations, and strategic planning.

Emily has played a key role in advancing the firm’s growth and organizational maturity, supporting the launch of The Progression of Consciousness Fund, leading a vertical amalgamation, closing over a dozen real estate transactions, and supporting more than 50 investment deals. She has also led several brand and communications initiatives, including website launches, newsletters, and the implementation of internal systems for knowledge management and workflow optimization.

Before joining 5D Ventures, Emily gained over 15 years of experience across the insurance, media, software engineering, and culinary industries, holding roles in operations, management, and client services.

She holds a BFA (Honours) from McMaster University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, deepening her understanding of human behaviour, mental health, and therapeutic frameworks. She integrates creativity, empathy, and curiosity into her operational and administrative functions, bringing a holistic and human-centred approach to her work.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Emily is an art-maker, creative writer, Vedic meditator, and nature enthusiast, cherishing her dog and meaningful connections with others.
