Emily Johnson
Director of Operations

Emily Johnson is Director of Operations at 5D Ventures, where she leads the firm’s financial, operational, and administrative functions in support of investment activities across Canada and Costa Rica. Her responsibilities span finance, compliance, human resources, communications, investor and investee relations, and strategic planning.

Since joining 5D Ventures, Emily has supported the firm’s growth through a range of investment and operational initiatives, including the launch of The Progression of Consciousness Fund, a vertical amalgamation, more than a dozen real estate transactions, and over 50 investment deals. She has also led initiatives across communications, knowledge management, systems implementation, and workflow optimization.

Prior to 5D Ventures, Emily built more than 15 years of experience across the insurance, media, software engineering, and culinary sectors, with roles in operations, management, and client services. This varied background has contributed to an adaptable and systems-oriented approach to her work.

Emily holds an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts from McMaster University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. Her studies in human behaviour, mental health, and relational dynamics complement her professional experience and inform her approach to leadership and collaboration.

Outside of work, Emily is an artist, writer, Vedic meditator, and nature enthusiast who enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog.
