Kenora Chiefs Advisory & Ma’mo’weh Wii’soo’ka’tiwin Foundation

Impact Type: Philanthropy | Contribution: $150,000.00

The Kenora Chiefs Advisory (KCA) provides culturally appropriate health and social services to nine First Nations in Treaty #3 Territory, with a focus on protecting and strengthening Anishinaabe culture for future generations.

Established in 2019, the Ma’mo’weh Wii’soo’ka’tiwin Foundation (MWF) — People Helping People — is KCA’s charitable arm, created to unlock flexible, independent funding that supports community-led innovation and long-term impact.

5D Ventures was honoured to provide the founding donation to help launch the MWF, support the KCA's youth baseball league, the Youth and Family Wellness camp, and fund The Journey Home, a short documentary highlighting KCA’s powerful work in the Kenora community to inspire further giving.

In recognition of these efforts, 5D Ventures Founder, David Heden, received The Elder Allan White Leadership Award — an honour given to individuals, like Elder Allan White, who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and a sustained commitment to improving outcomes for Indigenous youth and their families served by the KCA.
