Sincronía Wirikuta is a community-driven collective dedicated to protecting and regenerating Wirikuta, a sacred desert region in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, central to the cultural and spiritual life of the Wixárika people. The collective works alongside Indigenous leaders, local ejidos, environmental advocates, and civil society partners to safeguard the land from encroaching industrial pressures and to sustain the ecological integrity of this unique desert ecosystem. Their efforts include supporting territorial defence, restoring fragile habitats, and strengthening community stewardship of pilgrimage routes and ancestral sites.

5D Ventures has provided philanthropic support to advance this work, contributing to initiatives that reinforce land protection, ecological regeneration, and Indigenous-led advocacy. Our contribution helped the collective expand its on-the-ground efforts in Wirikuta and continue its role as a steward of one of Mexico’s most culturally significant landscapes.
