The Resilient World Trust

The Resilient World Trust is a land stewardship platform focused on acquiring, regenerating, and responsibly developing some of the most biodiverse and ecologically important landscapes on the planet, beginning in Costa Rica.

We begin with bioresilience — prioritizing land with abundant watersheds, intact ecosystems, fertile soils, and strong biological foundations. We seek places where ecological health, community vitality, and long-term stewardship are inherently aligned.

Our approach integrates ecological restoration with thoughtful, place-based development. Depending on the land and its context, this may include watershed protection and habitat restoration, regenerative agriculture and agroforestry, eco-hospitality and retreat spaces, and the design of regenerative communities.

We partner with experienced local stewards, Indigenous leaders, and regenerative practitioners to ensure that development strengthens — rather than depletes — the ecosystems and communities in which it takes place. Projects are designed to protect biodiversity, eliminate extractive land practices, and support long-term community resilience through education, employment, and reciprocal benefit.

We view land not as a commodity, but as a living system entrusted to our care. Success is measured by whether the land, water, and communities we engage with are healthier and more resilient because of our involvement.

“Let us be good stewards of the Earth we inherited. All of us have to share the Earth’s fragile ecosystems and precious resources, and each of us has a role to play in preserving them. If we are to go on living together on this earth, we must all be responsible for it.”
